Traditional rituals were observed in Dhemaji during Ali A:yé Lígang. In various Mising villages in Assam, the festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Villagers gathered early in the morning to participate in the traditional customs.
A central ritual involved the collective sowing of seeds, accompanied by Gumrag folk dances and songs. Prayers were offered to the revered deities Donyi Polo, seeking prosperity for farmers and the well-being of the community. The festival grounds were filled with the sounds of drums, pepa, and traditional music, creating a lively and colorful atmosphere.
Ali A:yé Lígang once again showcased the rich cultural and agricultural heritage of the Mising community across Assam.
