Dibrugarh (Assam), April 10 A search operation was reportedly conducted at the residence of Lurinjyoti Gogoi, president of the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) and a candidate in the Assembly elections, on Friday, in connection with an incident that occurred on election day, a police officer said.
He said the search was carried out in accordance with legal provisions.
Gogoi was the candidate for the opposition alliance from the Khowang constituency in Dibrugarh district, where elections were held in a single phase across the state on Thursday.
"In relation to the incident that occurred in Khowang yesterday, after receiving technical input, a police team reached the location and followed the legal search procedure," Dibrugarh Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Abhijit Dilip told
