According to a post shared by Jammu Smart City Limited, data from the past six months shows that 82% of daily passengers across the 100 buses operating on various routes are using mobile applications for ticketing.
The data also highlights a notable trend in inclusivity, with women accounting for 72% of the total ridership.
Officials said that the integration of digital ticketing and system modernization has streamlined operations, improved convenience for commuters, and promoted transparency in fare collection.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to enable smarter urban mobility, making public transport more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly in the Jammu city.
