
New Delhi, March 26 Senior diplomat Rudrendra Tandon has been appointed as the Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs, according to an official order.
Tandon is a 1994-batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Tandon as Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs, replacing Periasamy Kumaran, according to the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel.
Kumaran, a 1992-batch IFS officer, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom.
