
April 08, New Delhi: India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, will undertake a two-nation visit to Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 9 to 12.
On April 9 and 10, Dr. Jaishankar will visit Mauritius to participate in the 9th Indian Ocean Conference. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with Mauritian leaders and review the full range of bilateral relations. He is also expected to hold discussions with counterparts from other participating countries on the sidelines of the conference.
The visit reflects India's "Neighbourhood First" policy, Vision MAHASAGAR, and its commitment to advancing the interests of the Global South.
In the second leg of the visit, from April 11 to 12, Dr. Jaishankar will travel to the United Arab Emirates. He will meet with UAE leaders to review ongoing cooperation and explore ways to further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
The visit underscores India's proactive engagement with its neighbourhood and key global partners, reinforcing its role in regional and global affairs.
