
A drug awareness program was organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu and Kashmir, at Government Higher Secondary School, Lassana, to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Choudhary Mohammad Akram attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Farooq Nazki presided over the program. Students, teachers, and local residents participated enthusiastically.
During the program, speakers highlighted the serious health, educational, and social consequences of drug addiction and urged students to avoid such practices. Students also presented cultural performances, including songs, skits, and a street play, conveying a strong message against drug abuse.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA appreciated the department's efforts in organizing the awareness program and emphasized the need for collective efforts by parents, teachers, and the community to protect youth from the dangers of drugs.
The program concluded with students taking a pledge to abstain from drugs and spread awareness in their communities.
