Joint teams from the Revenue, Municipal Committees, FCS&CA, Legal Metrology, and Food Safety departments are inspecting markets to ensure the availability of essential commodities at the notified rates and to curb profiteering, hoarding, and adulteration.
Officials are checking price lists, food quality, hygiene standards, and weighing instruments, while directing shopkeepers to maintain transparency and sanitation. The district administration has reiterated strict enforcement to protect consumer interests, and the drive is expected to continue in the coming days.
