Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Doda district, Krishan Lal, inaugurated a group of students for a trip to Punjab to participate in the National Youth Exchange Programme being held at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, from February 24 to March 1, 2026.

The educational tour is being sponsored by the District Administration and the Red Cross Society in collaboration with the School Education Department. The initiative aims to promote cultural exchange, foster national integration, and nurture leadership qualities among the youth.

Speaking to the students before their departure, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged them to actively participate in academic, cultural, and interactive sessions during the programme. He said that such exposure visits broaden perspectives, enhance confidence and communication skills, and instill a spirit of unity and cooperation.

Advising the students to act as ambassadors of Doda, Krishan Lal urged them to make the most of the opportunity by learning, sharing experiences, and building meaningful connections with peers from different parts of the country.

The send-off ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ashraf Parvez, Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar, Chief Education Officer Bhushan Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed, and other officials.

The students expressed enthusiasm and gratitude to the District Administration for facilitating their participation in the national-level exchange programme aimed at enhancing their exposure and overall development.
