Jolarpettai (Tamil Nadu), April 1 Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin appealed to the people on Wednesday to decisively defeat the opposition AIADMK in the upcoming Assembly elections and also ensure that its ally, the BJP, does not win.
Stating that the "fascist BJP" does not have the people's mandate to enter Tamil Nadu, he said the saffron party cannot win the election.
While campaigning for the DMK in Jolarpettai, about 215 km from Chennai, the party's youth wing secretary urged the people to completely defeat the AIADMK in the state.
"Like Chief Minister M K Stalin, I have been campaigning throughout the state for the last two days. I have yet to visit my constituency to launch my campaign as a candidate. Therefore, ensuring the victory of the DMK and its allies in the April 23 elections is tantamount to securing a big win for the chief minister and me as well," Udhayanidhi said.
He added that the DMK was able to connect with the people because it had kept its promises made in the 2021 Assembly election and was confident of delivering more when the party gets a second consecutive term.
