
DODA, MARCH 26: The Inclusive Education Unit, Doda, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, organized a district-level sports event and field visit for Children with Special Needs (CWSN).
The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 121 individuals, including nearly 100 CWSN students from Bhalessa, Thathri, Bhagwah, Bhalla, Bhaderwah, and Ghat zones.
The students also participated in a field visit to the scenic and historically significant Khellani Top in the Bhalla zone.
The students engaged in a variety of sports activities designed to promote inclusivity, enhance self-confidence, and improve physical well-being. The event provided a supportive platform for students to showcase their abilities and talents.
To ensure comfort and encouragement, the participating students were provided with transportation, refreshments, lunch, and caps, which significantly boosted their morale and overall experience.
The programme was conducted under the close supervision of Chief Education Officer Bhushan Kumar Pathak. He praised the dedicated efforts of the organizers, including Principal of GHSS Berarru, Anjeel Kumar Thakur, Abdul Latief, Senior Lecturer of GHSS Dradhu, and Zonal Coordinators of the Inclusive Education unit and Special Educators.
The field visit to Khellani Top added a joyful and enriching dimension to the programme, offering students the opportunity to explore nature, interact socially, and learn beyond the classroom environment.
The programme concluded successfully, leaving behind cherished memories for the participants and reinforcing the importance of inclusive initiatives in the education sector.
