DODA, February 17: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the 6th National Rafting Championship, scheduled to take place in Shibnote, Thathri, from February 19-22, 2026.
Organized by the Tourism Department in collaboration with the Doda District Administration, the event aims to promote adventure tourism and highlight the district's potential for water sports.
The DC reviewed logistics, safety, accommodation, transportation, medical facilities, security, and traffic management, directing officials to ensure foolproof arrangements and strict safety protocols. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to provide a smooth experience for participants and visitors.
The championship is expected to enhance Doda's reputation as a rising destination for adventure tourism.
