Puducherry, March 25 As the April 9 election for the Puducherry territorial assembly approaches, various political parties and their candidates have intensified their door-to-door campaigning.

Candidates, accompanied by their supporters carrying their respective party flags, began approaching voters at their doorsteps.

Given that the size of the constituencies in the union territory is very small, candidates are familiar with every neighborhood in their respective constituencies. Consequently, the candidates, accompanied by their supporters, approached households with ease, distributing pamphlets bearing their photographs, promises, and respective party symbols in the scorching summer heat.

Both DMK and Congress candidates are contesting in some constituencies, although both parties have entered into an electoral agreement after initial difficulties. Therefore, both DMK and Congress candidates were seen campaigning in those constituencies. Although DMK had released an official list of candidates, Congress has not yet officially released a list.
