March 12, New Delhi – Defending champion Jack Draper stunned Novak Djokovic in a hard-fought three-set match to reach the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Open.
Draper wore down the Serbian star, preventing him from reaching the quarter-finals of the tournament for the first time since he last won the title in 2016.
The British player recovered after losing the first set and showed composure under pressure against the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
Draper eventually won the second set and prevailed in the deciding-set tie-break to seal the victory.
He will next face Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
