
March 21, New Delhi — Ukraine launched one of its largest drone barrages of the war, sending more than 280 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) into Russian territory overnight.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported intercepting a total of 283 drones. While, authorities have downed approximately 90 drones in the southern Rostov region. Moscow's mayor confirmed that about 27 drones were neutralized over the capital.
In the southwestern Saratov region, drone strikes have injured two people and damaged several homes.
Kyiv described the operation as a retaliation to a Russian attack that has left most in the Chernihiv region without power.
Separately, Ukrainian and US negotiators have scheduled a meeting in the United States on Saturday to revive stalled three-way peace talks with Russia, which were delayed by the West Asia conflict.
