Hyderabad, April 2 Two men were arrested here for allegedly selling MDMA drug and 25.65 grams of the narcotic substance were seized from them, police said on Thursday.
Based on a tip-off, the two suspects, who arrived on two scooters, were identified and apprehended at Nagole X Road on April 1. Upon search, the MDMA drug, packed in a polythene cover, was found concealed in the vehicles.
The seized contraband was weighed and confirmed as 25.65 grams of the banned MDMA drug, a police release said, adding that a case under the NDPS Act was registered at the Nagole police station.
Further investigation revealed that the accused were selling MDMA drug to customers to make easy money, which was supplied to them by two persons who procured the drug from Himachal Pradesh.
The suppliers are currently at large, and efforts are underway to apprehend them. Further investigation is in progress.
