
Weather remains largely dry across Jammu and Kashmir till February end, with cloudy spells and light rain or snow at isolated places towards late February and early March
February, 22 Srinagar: The Meteorological forecast indicates that Jammu and Kashmir will witness no major rain or snowfall across the region till the end of February, bringing relief to residents and easing daily activities.
From February 21 to 25, weather conditions are expected to remain generally dry across most parts of the Union Territory. On February 26, skies are likely to remain partly to generally cloudy, with no significant precipitation forecast.
Light rain or snowfall at isolated places is expected during February 27 and 28, particularly affecting higher reaches, while most areas may continue to experience cloudy conditions.
Looking ahead to the first week of March, weather from March 1 to 3 is expected to remain generally cloudy, with chances of light rain or snowfall over higher reaches at isolated to scattered places. From March 4 to 7, the weather is likely to turn partly cloudy again.
An advisory has been issued for farmers, advising them to continue routine farm operations. Meanwhile, a further rise in both minimum and maximum temperatures at most places is likely to continue over the next six days.
