
March 16, New Delhi – Dubai International Airport has temporarily suspended all flight operations after a fire broke out near the airport following a drone-related incident, amid rising tensions in West Asia.
The Dubai Media Office confirmed the disruption, while local civil aviation officials stated that the grounding of aircraft is a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety.
In the meantime, Emirates, the largest airline in West Asia, announced that it has temporarily suspended all flights to and from Dubai. The airline urged passengers not to come to the airport and said that updates on the situation would be provided as they become available.
