March 16, New Delhi — An Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai returned to the airport on Monday after a security incident was reported at the destination airport.
The TRV–DXB flight returned mid-journey after Dubai International Airport was closed and landed back at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
The flight, carrying 353 passengers and 19 crew members, departed at 4:40 am and returned at 8:40 am. Passengers were moved to the terminal.
Earlier, another Emirates flight, EK533, which departed from Cochin International Airport at 4:30 am with 325 people on board, also returned and landed in Kochi due to the sudden closure of Dubai International Airport.
