Dwarka Gym Shooting: Bishnoi Associate Linked to Extortion Attempt.webp

New Delhi, March 23 The owner of a gym in Dwarka, which was the target of a gun attack, was contacted by wanted gangster Hari Chant Jatt, also known as Harry Boxer, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, for Rs 2 crore, police said on Monday.

On the night of March 19 and 20, some individuals arrived on a motorcycle and fired multiple shots outside a gym in the Chhawla area.

The gym was found locked with no one inside.

Three empty cartridges were recovered from the scene by the police.

The gym on Kanganheri Road is owned and operated by Harish Kumar, a native of the Chhawla village.

According to police, Kumar had received a threatening call from Harry Boxer, a foreign-based gangster allegedly involved in several extortion cases.

Intelligence inputs suggested that two individuals were involved in the shooting.

The absence of CCTV cameras near the gym has so far prevented identification of the perpetrators.

In his complaint, Kumar stated that he closed his gym around 10 pm on March 19 and went home.

When he returned around 4.45 am the following day, he found broken glass near the entrance, with three bullet holes and cartridges on the road.

Inside the gym, he found pieces of broken glass scattered around, he added.
