Navi Mumbai, March 4 – Atharva Taide and Luvnith Sisodia put on a 122-run opening stand as Canara Bank defeated Reliance by six wickets to reach the semi-finals of the 20th DY Patil T20 Cup on Wednesday.
Reliance, who were put in to bat at the DY Patil Stadium, scored 151/9, with Mayank Rawat scoring a top score of 54 off 41 balls, including five fours and two sixes. He also received good support from all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa, who scored 30 not out.
In the chase, Vidarbha's Taide responded with a blistering 76 off 37 balls, with 12 boundaries and two sixes, while Karnataka's Sisodia remained unbeaten on 53 off 41 balls, with eight boundaries.
Captain KV Siddharth added 21 not out to help Canara Bank win after a brief wobble following the Taide-Sisodia stand. Rawat also impressed with the ball, taking 4-23, although it ultimately proved unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, at the DY Patil University Ground, Rugved More scored 64 off 35 balls, with seven fours and three sixes, as Mumbai Customs defeated Jain Irrigation by six wickets. Jain Irrigation posted 181/8 in their 20 overs, with Jay Bista scoring a top score of 38, but Customs chased down the target in 18.4 overs.
