
Gangtok, February 26 Two earthquakes, with magnitudes of 4.6 and 3.5, struck Sikkim on Thursday, officials said.
The first earthquake, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, occurred at 11:24 am. The epicenter of the quake was located 4 km northeast of Yuksom in the Gyalshing district, at a depth of 10 km, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The second earthquake, measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, struck the Mangan district at 12:17 pm. The epicenter was located 11 km northwest of Gangtok, also at a depth of 10 km.
Officials said that there were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to property resulting from the two earthquakes.
