April 08, New Delhi: In a major relief for the aviation sector, the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has ordered a 25 percent reduction in landing and parking charges at major airports for a period of three months.
The reduction applies to domestic flights, effective immediately, and follows government measures to support airlines facing rising costs linked to the ongoing Iran conflict.
Under the order, both landing and parking charges have been reduced by 25 percent for the next 90 days. This move is expected to provide crucial relief to airlines during a period of increasing operational pressures, offering much-needed breathing room during a challenging phase.
