Lunglei, April 8, 2026: The District-Level Committee on NCORD, Lunglei, in collaboration with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, organized an Easter Egg Painting Competition under the theme "Ruihhlo Do" as part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse among children and youth. The prize distribution ceremony was held today at the DC's Conference Hall, Lunglei.

The competition was held on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, across various churches within the Lunglei Municipal Council (LMC) area. Conceived as an awareness initiative, the program encouraged children and youth to creatively convey anti-drug messages through Easter egg painting and slogan-bearing placards.

Participants from different churches actively participated by designing Easter eggs and placards carrying messages against substance abuse. Winners were selected based on photographs of the entries submitted by the respective churches, and the prizes were formally distributed during today's program.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei, Pi Navneet Mann, stated that the competition was not only part of the Easter celebrations but also a meaningful initiative to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among the people of Lunglei.
