
Itanagar, February 18 A motorcycle rally organized by the Assam Rifles, starting from Pangsau Pass in Arunachal Pradesh and ending in Jorhat, Assam, began on Wednesday.
The 'Eastern Edge Expedition', which will continue until March 2, aims to promote unity, adventure tourism, and regional connectivity across the Northeast, according to an official statement.
The expedition seeks to showcase the region's stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and immense potential while strengthening national integration and fostering camaraderie, it said.
The rally is being undertaken by a group of 24 motorcyclists, 12 each from Assam Rifles and Hero MotoCorp, symbolizing strong cooperation and teamwork between the military and civilian populations.
The expedition covers challenging terrains and remote routes, standing as a tribute to the resilience and determination that defines both the armed forces and the people of the Northeast, it added.
