Puducherry, March 10 The Election Commission's Special Observer, Pratap Singh, held a meeting on Tuesday with officials from enforcement agencies to assess Puducherry's preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections.

A release from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Puducherry, P Jawhar, stated that representatives from the enforcement agencies made a detailed presentation on their departments' preparedness for the elections, as well as the steps being taken to ensure effective monitoring and enforcement during the election.

Besides the CEO, the State Police Nodal Officer, R Sathiya Sundaram (Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Law and Order), the Deputy CEOs, B. Thillaivel and M. Kandasamy, and Nodal Officers from the Police Department and various enforcement agencies, also presented detailed information at the meeting.

At the meeting, the Special Observer emphasized the need for constant vigilance and urged the officers to remain alert and promptly act upon any information received regarding potential violations during the election.

The release also stated that the Special Observer also highlighted the importance of close coordination among the agencies to ensure effective enforcement of election-related regulations.
