The Election Commission has stated that seizures related to the ongoing state and by-elections have exceeded 400 crore rupees, including cash, liquor, drugs, precious metals, and freebies. The Commission has also said that over 5,100 flying squads and 5,200 Static Surveillance Teams have been deployed across the states and Union Territories where elections are taking place, to ensure free, fair, and intimidation-free elections. The ECI has also informed that from March 15th to 25th, over 70,900 complaints were lodged using the C-Vigil App in the state and by-elections. The Commission has also stated that over 95% of the complaints were resolved within 100 minutes. The ECI further noted that a complaint redressal system has been set up, including a call center number 1950. The Commission added that complaints can be lodged by any member of the public or political party with the concerned District Election Officer or Returning Officer.
