Assam Education Minister launches Guru Dakshina Portal
Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu launched the Guru Dakshina 1.0 portal today to provide a one-time financial settlement for non-provincialized teachers in the state.
The portal was formally launched at the office of Samagra Shiksha Assam in Kahilipara, Guwahati. Through the portal, teachers who were excluded from the provincialization process in 2013 and 2021 will be able to apply for financial assistance. Earlier, the state government had undertaken two phases of provincialization.
The Education Minister stated that only those teachers who were excluded from the provincialization exercises carried out in 2013 and 2021 will be eligible to apply through the Guru Dakshina portal. The initiative aims to recognize the contribution and dedication of non-provincialized teachers who have served educational institutions in the state.
Eligible teachers can submit their applications online through the Guru Dakshina portal.
