
Chandigarh, March 20 Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria extended greetings to citizens on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday.
"I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and highlights the noble instincts in people," Kataria said.
"I hope that this joyous occasion fosters a spirit of brotherhood, compassion, and sharing among all, and further strengthens the diverse nature of our society," he added.
In his message, the governor urged people to practice the qualities of kindness, compassion, benevolence, generosity, and tolerance towards fellow citizens, recalling the tenets of Islam which emphasize peace, purity, and submission and obedience to the will of God.
