Mumbai, April 10 Commercial vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors announced on Friday that it has begun delivering its heavy-duty electric trucks, the Prima E.55S, to BillionE Mobility.

The company also announced securing a supply order for these 250 additional electric prime movers, which will be delivered in phases and deployed across key freight corridors in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi-NCR, and Haryana, supporting the long-haul movement of steel, cement, and other industrial goods, the company said.

The first batch, consisting of 30 e-trucks, was handed over in the presence of Tata Motors Ltd.'s Managing Director & CEO, Girish Wagh, and BillionE Mobility and ChargeZone's Founder, Kartikey Hariyani, among others.

Built on the company's advanced electric vehicle architecture, i-MoEV Prima E.55S is part of the extensive Tata Trucks.EV range, and features a full-electric drivetrain with an integrated e-axle and regenerative braking.

Powered by a 450kWh battery pack, the truck offers a range of up to 350 km on a single charge.

"Our close collaboration with BillionE Mobility has ensured alignment across the vehicle and the supporting ecosystem, enabling reliable electric operations across key freight corridors," said Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head for trucks at Tata Motors Ltd.

"Our focus is on building electric commercial vehicle solutions that can be deployed reliably and at scale across real freight operations for inter-city routes. We are entering into a strategic partnership with Tata Motors as we aim to accelerate our commitment for systematic, large-scale acquisition and a planned deployment pipeline of 6-18 months, targeting 1,500 units of heavy-duty logistics in India," BillionE mobility said.
