
POONCH, March 15: Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma reviewed the progress of the Eklavya Model Residential Schools project, which is being constructed at Behra Mendhar at an estimated cost of ₹1594.99 lakh.
During the meeting, officials informed that 8 out of 15 components of the school building have been completed and handed over, while work on the remaining components is in progress.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PWD authorities to expedite the work and ensure early completion. He also requested a detailed estimate of the remaining works, including the construction of a perimeter wall, access road, internal pathways, and finishing work.
He emphasized that the project is crucial for providing quality residential education facilities to tribal students and directed all departments to work in coordination for its timely completion.
