Hyderabad, March 2 An engineering student in Hyderabad was allegedly sexually assaulted by a classmate, police said on Monday.
The classmate was accused of having a physical relationship with her under the guise of marriage and threatening to share private photographs after she expressed her unwillingness to continue the relationship.
Another friend of the classmate also threatened and harassed the victim regarding the photographs, police said.
Based on a complaint filed by the woman's mother, a case was registered at the Bachupally police station and the classmate was taken into custody on Monday, police said. Further investigation is ongoing.
