The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and Google have signed an agreement to display authorized Aadhaar centers on Google Maps. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said that this move will enhance accessibility and convenience for residents across the country.
The Ministry stated that it will also display information related to center accessibility, including features such as infrastructure suitable for people with disabilities, availability of parking facilities, and operating hours, to enhance convenience for residents. Bhuvnesh Kumar, the CEO of UIDAI, said that the collaboration will improve the ease of living for Aadhaar number holders and ensure that navigating the authorized Aadhaar centers is now faster and more transparent.
The Ministry stated that the facility is expected to be available in the coming months. The collaboration is designed to enhance public convenience, combat misinformation, and ensure that residents have seamless access to over 60 thousand Aadhaar centers and Aadhaar Seva Kendras across the country.
