The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is scheduled to begin in April 2026 in Jammu and Kashmir, to update voter lists. Speaking to DD News Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Verma, he stated that this crucial process ensures accuracy by facilitating the addition, deletion, or correction of voter names to enhance electoral integrity. He emphasized that the SIR process is transparent, with measures in place to protect voters' rights. Citizens are urged to check and update their voter registration details.
