On March 02, in Srinagar, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, said that special enforcement teams have been constituted across the district during the holy month of Ramazan to ensure strict market regulation.
Speaking to Doordarshan News, Suse said that the teams are conducting daily inspections to monitor prices, the quality of essential commodities, and adherence to government guidelines.
He stated that the administration is committed to protecting consumer interests and maintaining transparency in trade practices.
The deputy commissioner warned that any trader found violating rules or engaging in unfair practices will face strict legal action under the law.
The district administration has urged traders to cooperate with enforcement agencies and follow prescribed norms to ensure the smooth supply of essential commodities during Ramazan.
