Doda, April 1: District Development Commissioner Krishan Lal reviewed the implementation of National Green Tribunal directives and environmental management in the district.
He emphasized strict adherence to NGT guidelines, timely completion of the Bhaderwah Sewage Treatment Plant, and early implementation of the D-Wet units. Progress on soakage pits, solid waste management, public waste units, CCTV monitoring, and the 6-km Neeru River fencing project was also reviewed.
The DDC directed enhanced public awareness, routine inspections, geo-tagged reporting, and strengthened sanitation and waste management, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas.
