Erratic Weather Likely Across J&K till April 10.webp

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a fresh weather update forecasting an extended spell of unstable weather across Jammu and Kashmir till April 10.

As per the forecast, April 6 may witness brief spells of light rain at a few places towards late afternoon. However, a more active weather phase is expected on April 7 and 8, with intermittent light to moderate rain and snowfall at most places. Isolated areas may experience moderate to heavy precipitation accompanied by thunderstorms, hailstorms and gusty winds.

On April 9 and 10, brief spells of light rain are likely at scattered locations across the Union Territory.
Authorities have warned of possible thunderstorms, hail and strong winds at isolated places, particularly during April 7–8. There is also a risk of landslides in vulnerable areas and waterlogging in low-lying regions.

Farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural operations during this period, while travellers are urged to plan their journeys carefully and stay updated with weather advisories to avoid inconvenience.
