Lucknow, April 5 A man allegedly pulled out a pistol while stuck in traffic here, police said on Sunday.

SHO Omveer Singh Chauhan of the Thakurganj police station said on Sunday that the incident took place on Saturday on Rajjabganj Road in the Saadatganj police station area.

The man, identified as Sharafat Ali (40), an ex-Army man from Hardoi, who currently lives in Lucknow, was brought to the police station on Sunday, Chauhan said.

"He had come to the police station and stated in writing that he had made a mistake," the SHO added.

In the letter, he mentioned that the pistol slipped from his pocket, and he had picked it up, Chauhan added. No case has been registered against Sharafat.
