Exams for the 10th and 12th grades of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, commonly known as the UP Board, began today under strict security measures. Over 53 lakh students in the 10th and 12th grades are participating in the exams, which are being held at more than 8,000 examination centers.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Examination Act, 2024, has been implemented to prevent irregularities in examinations and ensure transparency. A state-level control room has been established at 3 central control and command centers, one in Prayagraj and two in Lucknow. All examination centers are being closely monitored using CCTV cameras with attached voice recorders. A backup set of question papers has also been arranged for all subjects in case of emergencies in all districts and examination centers.
