Srinagar, February 27 PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said the acquittal of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders by a court in a corruption case had exposed the "high-handedness" of the investigating agencies.
"Today's judgment discharging Kejriwal, Sisodia & Kavitha in the excise policy case exposes the high-handedness of investigative agencies," Mufti said in a post on X.
She said when agencies are used like political weapons, justice becomes the first casualty, and truth only emerges after "years of pain and tears."
"There is no prima facie case. There is no credible evidence. Yet, years of imprisonment. Nothing is more dangerous than the misuse of power and the weaponization of institutions. Yet, somehow, this continues unabated," she added.
In a major relief for Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, a Delhi court on Friday acquitted the former Delhi Chief Minister and his former deputy in the politically charged liquor policy case, after refusing to take cognizance of the CBI chargesheet.
Besides the two leaders, 21 others were also acquitted in the case.
