New Delhi, April 5 Premium motorcycle maker Classic Legends, the owner of iconic brands Yezdi, Jawa, and BSA, is planning to expand its product portfolio by introducing new bikes in the scrambler segment to maintain its growth momentum.
The company, which had broken into the top ten two-wheeler manufacturers in the country by sales volume in February this year, aims to solidify its position as a leader in scrambler bikes—designed for both off-road and street use.
The company is preparing to introduce new motorcycles in the scrambler segment as part of its upcoming portfolio expansion, according to sources aware of the development.
When contacted about the scrambler launch, Classic Legends Co-founder Anupam Thareja said, "The company has seen strong customer response over the past year and will continue to strengthen its portfolio with authentic classic designs."
Without elaborating further, he said, "Customers make an emotional choice when they buy our motorcycles, and we take that seriously. Our approach has been to stay consistent with design-led thinking, honest engineering, and a reliable ownership experience."
The company's brand, BSA, has a strong history of being a leader in the scrambler segment, dating back to the late 1940s, when riders modified road-legal motorcycles such as BSA Gold Star singles and A10 twins to handle dirt tracks and uneven terrain.
Similarly, in India, Yezdi motorcycles were the preferred models for modifications when a rider-led culture evolved. Building on this legacy, in 2022, Yezdi launched a mainstream scrambler in the mid-sized segment, with a factory-built interpretation of the format.
The company's plans for portfolio expansion are aimed at continuing its growth momentum. According to VAHAN registration data, the company registered a year-on-year 39 per cent increase in sales volume to 45,011 units in FY26.
