New Delhi, April 2 State-owned REC Ltd announced on Thursday that Rajesh Kumar has taken over as Director (Finance) effective April 2, 2026.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had, on March 25, approved the Ministry of Power's proposal for Kumar's appointment as Director (Finance) at REC Ltd for a period of five years, according to a company statement.
Rajesh Kumar is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of extensive experience in the public sector, specifically in power and infrastructure financing.
He has extensive experience in accounting, taxation, auditing, treasury, project appraisals, and regulatory compliance.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, complemented by dual professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost & Management Accountant (CMA).
Prior to this appointment, Kumar served as Executive Director (Finance) at REC Ltd, where he played a key role in the organization's financial strategy and growth.
