A tragic fire incident in Indore's Tilak Nagar police station area early this morning resulted in the deaths of seven people. The incident occurred near Bengali Square, where a massive fire broke out in a three-story house around 4 AM. According to initial reports, the fire started due to a short circuit in an electric car that was being charged outside the house, leading to an explosion.

The flames quickly intensified, and four LPG cylinders kept inside the house exploded one after another, causing a portion of the building to collapse. Seven members of the family lost their lives, and three others were critically injured. State Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, who visited the scene, expressed deep grief and announced that an expert committee would be formed to investigate the incident. He also stated that a new standard operating procedure (SOP) for electric vehicle (EV) charging would soon be issued to prevent such tragedies.
