The government has dismissed a message circulating on social media that claimed SBI users must install an APK file to update their Aadhaar, otherwise their SBI YONO app will be blocked. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) stated that the claim is false. It added that SBI does not request such information. The PIB has urged citizens not to download any APKs or share personal, banking, or Aadhaar details, and to report any suspicious messages for appropriate action.
