
Jaisalmer, March 25 Two people were killed and eight were injured when their vehicle overturned on the Pokaran-Jaisalmer route on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
All of them belonged to the same family and were returning to their village, Thayiat in Jaisalmer, after visiting Ramdevra, they said.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a cow, causing it to overturn near Chacha village, they added.
The deceased have been identified as Gopal Singh and Gordhan Singh, while most of the injured are women and children, the police said.
Three of the injured were referred to Jodhpur due to their critical condition, while others, including the driver, are being treated at the local hospital, they said.
