Mumbai, April 11 – Bollywood filmmaker-choreographer and now a successful YouTuber, Farah Khan, has expressed her admiration for Hollywood icon Tom Cruise, leaving a comment on his Instagram post promoting his upcoming film "Digger."
Tom had shared a cryptic message on Instagram to promote his film, "Digger," directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. He posted a picture of a large shovel standing upright in the ground, with a small human figure standing next to it.
He captioned the image: "We trust DIGGER. 33.711°N, 116.233°W."
Farah then commented on the post, writing: "TOMMMMM... I love you."
Farah often expresses her admiration for Tom Cruise on her social media. In August 2020, Tom posted a behind-the-scenes moment from "Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning," and the Indian filmmaker-choreographer shared that she was "eternally grateful" to him for removing his shirt.
She wrote: "Thank you for removing your shirt for us!! Eternally grateful, TOMMMMM."
Regarding "Digger," the film is scheduled to release on October 2. Tom Cruise stars as Digger Rockwell. While the exact plot is still under wraps, Warner Bros. has provided a logline describing Cruise's character as "the most powerful man in the world" who "embarks on a frantic mission to prove that he is humanity's savior before the disaster he's unleashed destroys everything," according to variety.com.
The cast also includes Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, Riz Ahmed, and Emma D’Arcy. "Digger" is Cruise's first film since signing a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery to develop and produce theatrical films in January. His last project with the studio was "Edge of Tomorrow" a decade ago.
"Digger," which was shot in the U.K. for six months, marks Inarritu’s first English-language film since "The Revenant." The film will be produced and directed by Inarritu, with a script co-written in 2023 with "Birdman" co-writers Nicolas Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris, along with Sabina Berman. "Digger" is produced by Cruise and Inarritu.
