RAJOURI, March 7, 2026: Ramesh Kumar, a farmer from the Siot village, has planted nearly 23 lakh trees free of charge, making a significant contribution to environmental conservation.
Following a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he pledged to plant an additional 3 lakh trees and is actively working to fulfill this commitment. He had previously also planted trees in the names of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, inspiring others to join his efforts in promoting greenery and protecting nature.
