Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has taken note of the heavy rainfall and hailstorms in several states and has directed officials to assess the extent of crop damage. Mr. Chouhan assured farmers that they do not need to worry and stated that the government stands firmly with them during this crisis.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Mr. Chouhan has asked officials to review the impact of unseasonal rains and hailstorms and to gather detailed information from the affected states. The Minister has also instructed officials to maintain close coordination with state authorities to monitor the situation. The Ministry noted that Mr. Chouhan will also hold discussions with the Agriculture Ministers of the concerned states to review the extent of damage and take necessary steps to address the situation.
