Dindori (MP), April 12 Five men were killed and one person was injured after being hit by a truck on a highway in the Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The incident occurred around 1 am on the Jabalpur-Amarkantak National Highway near Kikratalaab village, under the jurisdiction of the Gadasarai police station, when the victims were returning home in a pickup vehicle, they said.
A tyre of the vehicle got punctured, after which the driver started changing it, and the occupants got out of the vehicle.
"A speeding truck hit them. The driver told us that he fell asleep and could not see the victims," Dindori Superintendent of Police Vahni Singh told
