Iran's Ambassador to India, Mohammad Fathali, stated today that India could soon secure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Ambassador Fathali said that India is a friend to Iran. Regarding whether Iran would allow Indian ships to pass, Mr. Fathali expressed optimism about the issue. He stated that Iran believes that Iran and India share common interests in the region. Several Indian ships are currently stranded in the Strait of Hormuz due to the situation in West Asia.
