
April 11, New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large public rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party in East Bardhaman, West Bengal, and made sharp remarks against the Trinamool Congress government in the state.
In his address, the Prime Minister said that West Bengal is “ready for change” and added that the BJP would take the state to new heights of development.
Referring to the 15-year rule of the Trinamool Congress, he alleged that an atmosphere of fear has prevailed in the state and said that this election is aimed at ending that fear.
PM Modi also leveled allegations of corruption against the TMC government. He further stated that the state government has not allowed the benefits of central welfare schemes to reach the people of West Bengal.
